Melissa is a Northwest Arkansas hometown girl. After getting her Bachelor’s in Education at the University of Arkansas, Fort Smith, Melissa began teaching in elementary education. After teaching in general education for four years, Melissa pursued her passion of educating students with special needs, and earned her Master's Degree in Special Education. She has taught elementary special education for the last 12 years. Melissa worked with the Arkansas Autism Partnership and provided waiver service ABA therapies as a lead therapist and consultant while earning her BCBA certification. Melissa continues to teach and also currently works in the Fayetteville AIM clinic. She is excited about the opportunity to work alongside children and families to support independence through skill-building. She lives in West Fork, AR with her fur baby, Kash. Melissa enjoys spending time with her family and friends, hobby farming, and spending time outdoors.
